Life Update

Hey everyone! Recently, I ran a Twitter poll asking is you all would like to hear a mini life update. So much is changing for me and I would really like to share it with you!

I am currently enrolled in a little community college here in Indiana, but that’s all changing soon. I have one last semester (Spring 2018) then I will be transferring up to Ball State University. I still plan on double majoring in Enlightenment and Journalism, but instead of minoring in communications, I’ve changed my minor to French! Eee! I’m really thrilled about that. I love the French language and being able to add that on sounds like a lot of fun. (Yes, I’m the dork who thinks that college is fun…) So, in preparation for the coming Fall 2018 semester, I am already beginning to study French again. I took it way back in high school, but I really need refreshers.

I will be entering BSU as a junior (if everything works out). That means that I’ll have my own place! So I’ve been doing the whole apartment search thing and thankfully found one! I’ll be officially moving into it on August 1, 2018! Woo Woo!

I am still working a part time job at a department store. I really enjoy it, but right now, I am ever so ready for all of this holiday sh*t to be over with. I’ve also started a little bit of a photography business on the side. I have plenty of friends and family who are getting married or having babies and need pictures.

I still love doing my photography for my own enjoyment though. I try to go hiking once a week (if the fates allow) and take toooooons of pictures. (Please let me know if you would like me to put a gallery of those together on here!) My pups and I love tromping through the woods and having fun.

It was my birthday recently (December 11th to be exact) and I turned 19! I feel young and old all at the same time. What a strange feeling this truly is. I can’t wait to see what this crazy year is going to bring me.

Another little thing that has changed majorly is my hair. 2017 started out with long, blonde locks that I then changed to dark brown. Back in August I did a big snip and cut off 7 inches. Then, just in November, I got it cut again (right under my chin) and dyed it a dark purple-red.

For all of you who are wondering about my sweet little puppies, they’re doing great! My labs have gotten so big! Zeus (black) and Leo (yellow) are so much fun and get in so much trouble. But, they’re always there to snuggle with me at the end of the day. Zeus has even taken to sitting on my lap while I read so that I can use him to hold my book! Katie (pug) turned 10 in November and is healthy and happy. Yes, she is blind and yes I want to take her with me to BSU. I had to make the hard decision to leave her with my parents though because I decided that it would be too hard on her to change her pathways (that’s how she navigates, by memory) again. They all say hello to everyone and can’t wait for the snow to come!

Blog Stuff.

I have high hopes for this little blog of mine. I love putting time and effort into it whenever I have enough room in my busy life to breathe. I’m so sorry to all of you whenever I disappear for a while because of life. Thank you all for being understanding and not getting upset and nasty about it.

I really want to start back on Bookstagram, but it is intimidating me for some reason! Isn’t that silly? I also have the problem with trying to find a perfect feed. I like how crowded my old pictures used to be, but I am really wanting to start doing more minimalistic pictures.

Hopefully, in the coming post that I’ve planned, you all will like where this is heading. I plan on doing a few college tips and tricks posts along with beauty and a dash of lifestyle.  (I also asked if you all would enjoy seeing more posts about those topics, and the results were very positive!)

I am so very thankful to be a part of the Book Blogger community and am thankful for all of the friends that I have made through it. You all are so wonderful and supportive. I know that I will always have a home here!

I can’t wait to share with you the new direction that Lazy Coffee Princess is going to be taking.

I'm an avid reader who can't get her nose out of a book. I am an English undergraduate student in the Midwest who dreams of being an author one day.
