My Fall #TBR

Hey everyone! I’m here today with my fall TBR/wish list. I want to be able to get to these books and have them all done by the time winter officially rolls around. I think that it’s a little over three months? Something like that. Anyways, here are some books that always give me the fall vibe/fall new releases/books I want to finish this fall.

First up is The Mortal Instruments series. Right now I’m about halfway through the third book, and I am so glad that I gave this series a second chance, because it has surprised me. I’m really enjoying it.

I also want to finish reading Crooked Kingdom. I’m slowly making my way through it now, and I really am enjoying it. I love the Leigh Bardugo’s writing, and after this I’m thinking about picking up the Girsha trilogy. I probably won’t get the them this season though, so I think that I’ll save them for later this winter. It seems like it would make for a lovely January read.

I would really like to read the book that has everybody all excited: Tower of Dawn. I’ve been hearing so many good things about this book and about how much everyone has liked that it was from Choal’s perspective. It’s hard not to toss all of my other books to the side and read it. Self control is really hard!

One Dark Throne is another book that I would like to read this fall. I loved Three Dark Crowns when I read it back in May, and I have been on the edge of my seat for this next book in the trilogy. I believe that it comes out on the 19th of September, but I hope to get to it by November or my birthday. If you read Three Dark Crowns, then you’ll know that Blake’s writing is lovely and that she left the book on a huge cliff hanger! I need this book now!

I would also love to read Celeste Ng’s new release Little Fires Everywhere. I loved her debut novel, and I’m fairly sure that I’m going to love reading this book. I don’t really know how to describe her writing besides saying that it hits you in the feels all the time. Chapter after chapter, you just keep getting hit in the feels until you can never look at the world the same way…

I’m also hoping to pick up the popular book They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. I haven’t read either of his books yet, but I have been hearing that this book makes you cry uncontrollably, and why wouldn’t I want to do that?

One of the last books that I want to get to is Landline by Rainbow Rowell. My local Barnes and Nobles had “pick up line with a book” recently, and I couldn’t resist. I had no idea which book I was picking, but I fell in love with the quote that they put on the wrapping paper to see if you would like the book. Luckily, when I got home, I didn’t already have or have had read the book. I’m so excited to read the rest of her works, and I hope that she’ll be publishing something else soon!

The last book that I want to get to reading this fall is The Lightkeepers. I found this book at Barnes and Nobles and the synopsis was vague, but I loved the cover, so I couldn’t go home without it. Judging from what was in the synopsis on Goodreads, I think that I will like this book, and can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I also have a goal for listening to audiobooks this fall. I have to commute 30 minutes to school two days a week, then work and other commitments like grocery shopping and just running errands. My friends and I also go camping every couple of weeks and the cabin is a few hours away, so saying that I have plenty of down time to listen to a book while driving is an understatement. I am really hoping to start reading The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series. Last winter I read about half of The Hobbit before I got into a slump and decided to not finish it. But I would really like to listen to those stories this fall.

What books are on your fall #TBR and if you have any suggestions for mine, let me know! I’m always open to new books!

See you all soon on my next post.
