Being a Book Blogger in Fall…

Some people love fall because of the weather, the sweaters, or even because of pumpkin spice lattes. But me? Oh, I like fall for some weird, bookish reason.

Reason 1: The warm apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes make the perfect prop for all of my pictures, and they keep me toasty warm in the crisp breezes!
Reason 2: Blankets, blankets, and (you guessed it) more BLANKETS!!! They can be used for props, or just something to cry into when a book rips a hole into your soul. Haha. Like that’s happened to me… *laughing nervously*
Reason 3: Pumpkin scented candles. If you were with me right now, here in my room, you would know what I’m talking about. My window is open with a slight breeze and I have a lovely candle that I got from Target going. I wish that y’all could smell this wonderful treat!
Reason 4: All of the new books that are coming out! Don’t believe me? Check out this MASSIVE list on Goodreads HERE.
Reason 5: It’s socially accepted to drink coffee all day long while walking around your college campus. You trick people into believing that you need the warmth or that you pulled an all-nighter “studying,” but, don’t worry. I know the true reason why you were up all night. You finished a book you just got 8 hours before your early morning class. Your secret is safe with me, dear friend.

Reason 6: Sweaters, duh. Do you even know me? I was buying sweaters back in July! My whole winter closet is sweaters, leggings, and cute heeled booties.

Reason 7: Reading at the park while wearing a sweater, sipping coffee or apple cider, and listening to the leaves fall around you. Feeling calm yet? That’s my happy place, but you can share it with me if you want. The more the merrier!
Reason 8: My birthday!!! Do you really think that I would let that pass without getting a huge haul of books or gift cards? My sister told me that she was going to get me an ereader for my birthday. Saying that I’m excited is a ginormous understatement!!!
Reason 9: Whipped cream on my coffee or hot coco in the colder months looks 20 times more beautiful than it does in the summer. Does anyone else feel me on that? Is it just me? Okay then… moving on.
Brace yourself. This one is huge in the bookish community.
Reason 10: Warm, cozy, fluffy, comforting SOCKS. You know those mornings where the frost is creeping up the window pane and forces you to stay in bed? Slip on your favorite pair on a crisp, frosted morning, and pull out the book that you’re currently reading (you know the one I’m talking about), and read the morning away. Only take breaks for making and eating chocolate chip muffins and making coffee. Go ahead and read your Saturday away. You’ll thank yourself, and those socks, later.
Are you in the mood for fall now? If so, join the club, I’m the leader. If not, read the list again, eat some pumpkin bread, and pull yourself together. Deep down you know that you can’t wait for fall.
